Find Local
Businesses
Of course, one can find local businesses with ease with the
LocalAdLink services offered here.
But, this isn't what has surprised me the most. I've known
for the last couple of years that local search is hot.
I've kept track of the online searches that people do for
local business listings and local jobs. I've even known that
local weather and local news are hot ticket items garnering
thousands of searches per days on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask
and on some of the other Internet search engines and websites
as well.
But, there are also newer searches popping to the top of
Wordtracker and Google Keywords Tool that cannot be ignored.
For instance when one wants to find local businesses and doesn't
get the exact results they usually refine their searches.
So, what are the top 10 searches to find local businesses
right now?

This is just a sampling of local businesses one can find
when doing searches online. Of course these are just general
searches people do when starting out. Many times a person
won't find what they need until they put in the city, county
or state that they need.
Of course, with the search application promoted on this website
all the hard work is done by the software matching up a person's
IP address with zip code area, which connects the person to
the local businesses.
When people search for local businesses many times education
is the key. For instance, knowing the right keywords to use
can go a long way. Also, starting off on the right website
will also cut down the time it takes to do a proper search
to find the address and phone number of the business you're
looking for in your own community.
Print newspapers and print phone directories are being used
less and less in order to find local businesses online. Large
companies in the print media are going out of business, right
and left. And what is left? Internet searches for local businesses.
As more people are turning to the Internet to do their local
searches, the search appliances will inevitably get more robust.
But, who will ultimately win the race to help others find
local businesses? Will it be Google or one of the top 13 yellow
page directories or will it be LocalAdLink? Only time will
tell and yet, the starting gun has already sounded.
